Clean room processing and contamination control are vital factors for the production of safe and effective products. Due to worldwide environmental demands and waste/emission restrictions, the demand for clean parts, assembled in a controlled environment has never been greater.

Contamination control is extremely important to many industries and the provision of optimum facilities is paramount, because contaminants and particles entering delicate components can cause them to fail and can involve huge re-working costs. For example, in the automotive industry, contamination can cause problems that range from cosmetic defects such as paint finishes to the outright failure of electronic fuel pumps.

In 2001, due to demand for the assembly of ultra clean kits from a key automotive engineering customer, Barnwell invested in the creation of a 'Class 10,000' Clean Room Facility at our headquarters in Smethwick - AFS (American Federal Standard) 209E equivalent to European Standard Class 7 of ISO 14644-1. We can now offer a first class service not only to the automotive industry, but other businesses that have similar needs, including:
