Pumps
In the chemical process industry, pumping corrosive media is very problematic from a sealing point of view. PTFE made pumps have, like the one shown here, utilised many Ncap’s at various critical points of its construction. Plastic pumps often require low load seals, so hollow core Ncap’s are very suitable. |
Mixers & Vessels
Manufacturers of large diameter mixers and vessels enjoy the benefits of using Ncap’s on lid seals, as expensive moulds for production are not required. The FDA compliance makes them ideal for the growing pharmaceutical industry. |
Filter

Mechanical Seals
Although Perfluoroelastomer as a seal material is generally used by many manufacturers, there are still many applications where Ncap’s are widely used. The obvious advantage against Perfluoro is the lower cost. |

Ncap’s are used in the sealing of flanges and apertures in various industries. Liquid gases and refrigerants are difficult to seal and permeability is a major consideration. Fluoropolymers have an exceptional resistance to permeability, even against Freons at low temperature |
Valves
The valve industry uses Ncap’s on a wide scale, at various locations within a valve. Often found in Air Operated Vent Valves, Steam Valves and Water Valves (due to the FDA/WRC compliance). The low friction properties of the jacket give low ‘start up drag’ on infrequently used valves. |
