M Barnwell Services has a variety of Wiper Seals to suit all major plant applications.
Wiper Seals can also be known as Scraper Seals or dirt extruders. They are designed to keep contaminants out of a hydraulic system and can also be used to help remove contaminants such as ice, dust or dirt from a cylinder itself.
Wiper Seals are used together with other sealing elements. They create a tight seal whilst permitting a reciprocating rod to move via the inner bore of the seal.

The most conventional elastomer material for the manufacture of Wiper Seals is Polyurethane (AU/EU), also Viton® (FKM/FPM) and Nitrile (NBR) are frequently used. For sub-zero temperature applications or in specifically severe installations where contaminations can residue on the rod, Metallic Wipers can be used.
Wiper Seals present an excellent resistance to bio-oils, mineral oils, water glycol fluids, and water-soluble fluids.
That makes them ideal for applications such as Pneumatic & Hydraulic Cylinders, Earth Moving & Construction, Medium Duty and Heavy Duty.
Temperature range is between -40°C and +100°C (or higher temperatures on request).
